Job Description

As a Teacher at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School you will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that develop students' learning potential. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly experienced and vibrant team implementing a comprehensive music program with a strong foundation in choral, band and dance performance. 

This is a full-time contract position commencing in Term 1 January 2027.

The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, based on the teaching salaries outlined in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 ($94,155-$133,009).

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitoring student progress through data analysis and assessment outcomes, using this information to inform teaching practices and interventions.
  • Encouraging an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and nurtures creativity and appreciation of music among students.
  • Liaising with parents, carers and guardians to promote understanding of the importance of Music education.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Experience

  • A minimum five years experience teaching music at a primary level is preferred.
  • An innovative and exciting educator who has a passion for fostering a lifelong love of music in our students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of syllabus documents, assessment strategies and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive student improvement through high expectations and innovation.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation (or equivalent).

You are an educator who:

  • Embraces innovation and emerging techniques in education.
  • Works collaboratively within a future-focused team.
  • Leads or contributes to curriculum innovation with an awareness of industry trends and future learning pathways.
