Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly experienced and vibrant team implementing a comprehensive music program with a strong foundation in choral, band and dance performance. Having prior professional performance experience as well as being able to teach performance techniques would be seen as an advantage. 

We welcome applications from specialists in:

  • Upper Strings (Violin and/or Viola)
  • Vocal
  • Piano

We also encourage expressions of interest from tutors across all instruments who are committed to fostering a love of music and excellence in student performance.

Classification: Private contractor, billing directly to parents

Hourly Rate: $96.00

Teaching load: As required

Reports to: Director of Performing Arts

This role will involve teaching students from Kindergarten to Year 12. It is important you are conversant with and willing to teach across a wide range of musical styles.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Development and management of individual learning plans for vocal students. 
  • Fostering student performance opportunities. 
  • Collaboration with classroom, instrumental and ensemble teachers to ensure performances complement teaching and learning priorities.
